Hi,

We have multiple users in Miro and it seems that if a comment is read by one team member, it does not appear as read already when another team member reviews the board and it causes extra work in reviewing the comments. Is there a setting that can make the read comment unhighlighted/read globally across all users if it is clicked and read to avoid duplication of work? Thank you.

Hi @Tammy Wong

Thanks for your question — this is working as expected.

The “read” status for comments in Miro is tracked per individual user profile, not at the team level. So if one team member opens and reads a comment, it will only be marked as read for them. Other users will still see it as unread in their own notifications until they open it themselves. At the moment, there isn’t a setting to mark comments as read globally across all users.

If having a shared “read/unread” status would help your workflow, I’d recommend posting this in the Wish List section so the product team can review the request.

Hi Eca, thank you. it would definitely be helpful for our team members to be able to have that global feature and I will ask in the wish list section. Thank you.
