Just a heads-up: the duplicate shortcut (Command + D on Mac or Ctrl + D on Windows) will only work if an object on the board is selected first. If nothing is selected when you press the shortcut, your browser may interpret it as a command to bookmark the page — which sounds like what’s happening here.

If you are selecting an object and it’s still not duplicating, would you mind sharing a short screen recording or more details so we can take a closer look?

Makes sense, but I am selecting something that I would like to duplicate. 
see screen shot.. I have selected the “brief” sticky. I press command D and get the bookmark instruction.

I am not sure how much more detail I can share? but its a killer pain….
