Hi all. This is a question about using Miro as a personal tutor.
I have been using the free trial, and I like Miro (after using losts of other platforms).
Which plan do I need?
I have 15 students, so I need 15 separate whiteboards to work on.
Each board will have only 2 users, myself and the student.
I am not is the US, and I am not working in public education.
Which paid plan do I need?
Thanks!!

Hi @Nicola Porch, great to hear that you’re enjoying Miro for tutoring!
Based on your setup (15 students, 1:1 boards, not in public education, and outside the US), here’s what I recommend after reviewing Miro’s pricing:
Recommended Plan: Starter Plan
Best fit for your needs
Lets you create unlimited boards
You can invite students as guests with edit access (free for them, no paid seat needed)
Each board can stay private between you and the student
Just make sure each board is set to share with a guest editor link — this avoids needing to pay for each student as a team member.
Create a board template for lessons and duplicate it for each student. This saves time and keeps your sessions organized.
Education Plan:
This is only available to those working at accredited academic institutions, so it may not apply to private tutoring.
Let me know if you’d like help setting that up!
Thanks,
I am going to try upgrading to the starter plan.
I have one team at the moment, and 2 different boards created in this team.
Each board has one student that I have invited with guest edit access.
When I go to ´upgrade´, your system automatically calculates the fee based on 3 members (I´m guessing myself, and the two students). Does this mean that I will have to pay for each student to have access to their own board?
Sorry, I am not finding this at all intuitive! But, I would like to sign up!
Thanks, Nicola
Hi Eca, how are you?
Could you please advise?
I have had a starter plan for a couple of weeks. I have created some boards, and shared the link with my students with edit priviliges. Miro is now emailing me to say that they have finished their 7 day trial and need to be paid seats, or I can change them to guests.
I am an online tutor. I have 10 students. Each student needs a board, that they can write on. I don´t need any fancy tools, just the ability to uplaod files, write, draw straight lines, and add screenshots.
I have looked at all of the help info, and it appears that guests on starter plans cannot have editing priviliges. Am I missing something?
This is what you advised, when I asked here a month ago.
Please help. If it is possible to give my students edit priviliges as a guest, could you tell me step by step how to do this.
Thanks
@Nicola Porch As you have discovered, Guest editors are not supposed with the Starter plan. Instead, you will need to use the Visitors feature, aka, Public or Anyone with the link - this is thr only way for non-team mmebto edit boards in a Starter Plan, without requiring a full license.
