Hi @SofiaSS thanks again for bringing this up.
I checked this with the current YouTube embed behavior, and as of now, fullscreen playback is still available — though it works a bit differently:
-
If you click the focus mode button on the embedded video, the video expands to cover the board area.
-
If you then click the fullscreen icon within the video itself, it expands to cover your entire screen, as expected.
I’ve still reached out to the team to clarify whether the trimming removal is a permanent change and if any alternatives are planned. I’ll follow up here when I hear back.
In the meantime, feel free to share your feedback on the Miro Wish List to help signal its importance to the product team.
Thank you for the prompt reply!
I know about focus mode button, the thing is - I liked the previous fullscreen playback better, I felt more in control but now I can only see the video.
I’ll definitely share my feedback on the Miro Wish List - the trimming option is highly important not only for me, but for many other teachers from Russia.
Hi @SofiaSS
I hear you, the older fullscreen playback did offer more flexibility and control for many workflows, especially in teaching contexts. I’ve flagged this to the team and am still waiting to hear if trimming is permanently removed.
Appreciate you sharing this, and posting on the Wish List is definitely the right call.
