I have been using free Miro for some time, then upgraded it because I needed to collaborate with people. After a couple of months of subscription, I did not need paid plan functionality anymore, therefore I ended the subscription. And now 2 out of 3 boards that I have been locked and I can no longer edit them.

A bar at the top of these locked boards says that I can only edit 3 boards, which should be fine because I have only ever created 3 boards. And yet, 2 of them are locked.

Any suggestions?

@Matas Janulionis -

Once you downgrade to a free plan, your team can only have three active boards at one time. Even though you have only created three, is it possible that one or more of the collaborators you previously invited to your team might have created private boards which you can’t see?

@Matas Janulionis - What’s important here is when you mentioned the word “locked”.

Paid plans allow for private boards, which is when the board owner sets the Team permissions to no access, so only the board owner can see the board.

Once you downgrade, the Free Plan no longer supports “private boards”, so, while you can see the board as the owner, you cannot edit it.

You will need to do the following to unlock the board:
