My team and I are starting to use the Planner for Jira functionality in Miro for our PI Planning sessions. Since multiple teams collaborate on the same board at once, I wanted to confirm:

  • Can several users make updates in the same Planner for Jira widget simultaneously (for example, moving or editing different Jira issues at the same time, making edits to the widget)?

  • What happens if two people try to edit the same issue at the same time? Does Miro or Jira prevent conflicts, or does the last edit overwrite the other?

  • Are there any best practices for large groups collaborating in the Planner

A few tips to ensure smooth collaboration:

  • Make sure all team members have editing permissions on the board

  • Refresh the board if someone’s changes don’t appear immediately

  • Avoid large simultaneous changes in the same card to prevent sync conflicts

  • Use Miro’s built-in presence and cursor tools to see who’s working where
