board freezes after fail to generate ai timeline

hi,

 

i can’t seem to access my board anymore after giving the miro ai a rather simple prompt to generate a timeline. generating took a while and then stopped at about ¾, after i tried to interact, the miro screen went dark gray. 

now i closed and reopened the miro app several times. other boards work fine, but the one in question doesn’t. it opens with a weirdly zoomed in viewport, the blue loading indicator on the top window goes up to about ¾, clicking anything is impossible and after a while the tab goes to dark gray again. 

my computer is capable of handling a lot, so it shouldn’t be a hardware problem.

 

this is my most important board at the moment and i really hope this is fixable ;(

    … i also cannot restore previous board versions since the board menu is light gray and doesn’t work

      HI ​@sth, thanks for sharing the details — I’m really sorry to hear this is happening, especially since it’s such an important board.

      I wasn’t able to reproduce this behavior on my end, but the symptoms you’re describing (stuck loading around ¾, greyed-out UI, zoomed-in viewport, and unresponsive board menu) can sometimes be related to board performance or loading issues.

      If you haven’t already, could you please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this article:

      In particular, please try:

      • Opening the board in an incognito/private browser window

      • Clearing cache and cookies

      • Disabling browser extensions

      • Trying a different browser or the desktop app (if you’re currently on web)

      • Checking whether the issue occurs on another device or network

      After trying these steps, let us know:

      • Which browser/app and OS you’re using

      • Whether the issue still occurs

      • If possible, a short screen recording or screenshot of the loading behavior

      unfortunately i have tried everything listed but the performance issues / unresponsiveness is always the same, no matter what device, browser, etc. i’m using. 

      here are my specs:

      • miro starter (paid) 
      • miro app version 0.11.125 arm64 
      • sonoma 14.8.3
      • firefox version 146.0.1 
      • safari version 26.2

      attached are screenshots for both the original board as well as its copy. no matter if the menu is all gray or in normal colors - nothing is responsive. after a while the ui turns dark gray. my other boards work just fine. 

      could it be that the ai generating process added some kind of deadlock? when you zoom into the third screenshot, it shows the pet menu “discard all” and “add to canvas” for the ai timeline thingy - so it’s not exactly on the board yet but its ghost still manages to freeze everything? ugh!

      is there any way to restore a version of the board previous to the ai timeline prompt without being able to click on the three vertical buttons? up until the prompt everything worked. i really need this board :(

       

      safari (last screenshot) loads for a while and then reloads due to the board being too big i guess.
