Hello,

we have been using Miro for the last year at university level. We are usually savign the boards regularly to have a backup and a record in case soem work gets accidentally deleted.

This all worked fine. But suddenly when I try to backup a board it no longer saves it in the regular format. XXX.rtb. I get a file name that is generic with a different file type. When I try to save it it jsut doesn’t do it, there is not file saved to my drive. the new file format is  XXX.json

What has changed. I managed to get soem board saved but others jsut do not back up.

@Patrick Michael Weber -

I just tested the backup and it is definitely saving a normal .RTB file for me as it always has. I’m using Miro via Google Chrome on a Windows 10 laptop. Are you able to try this using a different system configuration or access method to see if it happens regardless of how you access Miro?

I can confirm that it is working as expected (*.rtb) for me from Edge and Miro desktop app on Windows 10 64-bit on a Consultant and Team plan.

Some possible culprits for this behaviour:

  • Browser bug.
  • Browser extension.
  • VPN/firewall.
  • A bug that has since been resolved.
