Back and want to return to my first state

Dear Folks,

I am a returning miro user. I used miro for my personal works mostly. I am free user. Then let me simply summarize all for you to help me…
1-strted as a free user
2-Joined to a project where they used a paid-team account
3-They picked me as new team leader and joined their team
4-It’s (project) over at the moment
5-While I was in their team my all 3 boards somehow became their team boards
6-I want to return to my personal state but always seen a team admin when logged in and app says my boards are in that team
7- When I say leave team, app says select a new admin (does that even mean my boards are going to theirs?)
8-when I try to select delete team, a warning comes up your boards are going to be deleted! and I don’t want that to happen because they are my personal things and I want to be able to work on them.
9-Only option seem like creating a 1 person paid-team. Am I forced into this?
Can someone please explain this process for me? Do I have to swtich to 1 member paid-team? or is there any peacefull solution this to all?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi @gohan,

I see why this is confusing! Here’s a breakdown of your options:

1️⃣ Leaving the team: If you leave, Miro will ask you to transfer admin rights, which means your boards will stay with the team.
2️⃣ Deleting the team: This would delete all team boards—including yours—so that’s not the best option.
3️⃣ Moving your boards to a personal account: Boards are tied to teams, not profiles, so before leaving the team, you can create a separate team and transfer your owned boards from the current team to the new one. This ensures that you will still have access to them after leaving.

Hi @gohan

Wow. It probably costs more for Miro support to read that than for you to buy a license. 😀. Having said that, one whacky idea comes to mind, namely, signing up for the Miro developer program. If you are in the developer program, you get a Dev team with 3 boards. 😀
