We are seeing an issue that Azure cards created on miro board using the plugin are NOT updated. The state changes on the different issue types (Feature, Story, Bug, etc.) does not reflect on the cards. We every time have to remove and recreate the card which is not feasible with many cards on the board.
Hope miro team can provide us some solution regarding this issue.

We are experiencing the same issue. Making adjustments on Azure does not cause the items to change in Miro. Interestingly enough, if you go to the edit mode, you can see the actual card is out of sync (so it’s possible to view the discrepancy in edit more). However, in edit mode, you cannot ‘force’ a sync without adjusting something from Miro (as it then claims nothing was adjusted; so it seems it checks this info only towards Azure, and does not notice the card’s information is not correct anymore).
We have identified an issue where Azure cards created on a Miro board using the plugin are not being updated properly. Specifically, the state changes of different issue types such as Feature, Story, Bug, etc., are not being reflected on the corresponding cards. As a result, users are required to manually remove and recreate the cards, which can be impractical when dealing with a large number of cards on the board. We are actively investigating this issue and working towards a solution to ensure that Azure cards on Miro boards are consistently updated without the need for manual intervention.
Experiencing the same. Shows the correct state when I expand the card.
I’m seeing the same thing. Noticed that adding another card for the same item updates the state of the one that was already on a board.
Hi @Parag Dhande , @Tim Klok , @jason statham , @Yarbash Khader , @Colin Te Kempel
Thanks for bringing this up! I totally understand how frustrating it can be to manually update each card, especially when you have many on your board. I was able to replicate the issue on my end as well. I'll go ahead and create a ticket so our support team can look into this. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
Hi @Eca
Did you guys find a solution to this issue?
I’m experiencing the exact same frustrating issue with the Azure Cards at the moment.
Hi @Michael Ladegaard
I previously created a support ticket for the reports mentioned earlier. I’ve now converted your comment into a support ticket as well. Once support provides any updates or solutions, please feel free to share them in this thread. It would be very helpful for others in the community facing the same issue.
We are experiencing the same issue as well, but strangely only on certain Azure Projects in our organization.
On Azure projects where it works, I can do a browser page refresh and the cards adjust their status to the Azure state.
On other Azure projects we have the same error as described. When we edit the card in Miro and click the Update button manually, we get this errror message on the Miro board: ‘Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later.’
I had great contact with MIRO Support who helped supplying a description on how to fix the issue. Please see message below (must be carried out by your local MIRO Admin):
To troubleshoot the issue further, could you please try disconnecting the integration and reconnecting it? In order to connect the integration, you need to be a Miro Company Admin and Organization owner in Azure Boards with Project Collection Admin group permissions.
You can do so by going to Team Settings > Apps and Integrations > Azure cards. Click on the two Disconnect buttons and then click on the Connect buttons:
After the integration is reconnected, could you try manually updating the cards again by opening them and clicking the Update button?
This procedure solved our issue with the Azure Cards not being updated in MIRO.
Thank you MIRO Support 👍

I also figured out how to solve this myself.
We had 7 teams which had loaded the Azure Cards app.
We had to re-configure the Azure Cards integration with a new account, because a previous employee had set it up using his personal account.
We created a service account, added the service account as Organization Owner and member of the Project Collection Administrators in our Azure DevOps tentant and added the service account as Company Admin in Miro. When the integration was complete, we removed the service account from the Organization Owner role in Azure DevOps and removed it as Company Admin in Miro.
Then we reconfigured the integration and it seemed to work. However, we experienced that, although we could sync Azure Cards changes from Miro to Azure, when we changed status on an item in Azure DevOps, the change was not synced to the Miro board.
The way I solved it, was to sign in to Miro with my Company admin account. Then I went to Settings > Teams, selected one of our Teams, selected Apps & Integrations > Azure Cards.
On this page I shifted the dropdown selection to ‘Use global settings’
One strange thing though is that I can also see this drop-down now on the team I performed this on.
On all other Teams which had connected the Azure Cards app I see this. When the page loads it momentarily shows an error and then is stuck at this:
