Any way to restore a previous version of a Miro from outside of the board view?

Is there any way to restore a previous version of a Miro from outside of the board view?

I ask because I’m trying to access a Miro that I’ve been working on, and for whatever reason, it won’t open at all. I believe that restoring it to an earlier version would be sufficient to fix this, but the restoration feature is locked behind being able to access the Miro in the first place (as far as I can tell)

Is there any way to fix this, or is my Miro board completely lost?

Hi @aprobenji

Thanks for your question! I'd like to clarify one detail first so we can point you in the right direction.

When you say you can't access, is it:

  1. The board only (but you can still access your Miro profile account)
  1. Your Miro Profile (but you can still view the board through a public view-only link)?

  • If it's the first scenario: Unfortunately, there isn't a way to restore a previous version of a board from outside the board itself. The version history can only be accessed from within the board. If the board consistently fails to load, it's best to contact Miro Support so they can investigate whether the board can be recovered or restored from the backend. Please let me know if you need help contacting them.
  • If it's the second scenario: You'll first need to regain access to the account that owns/has access to the board. Once you're able to open the board while signed in with the appropriate account, you'll be able to access the board's version history (provided it's available for your plan) and restore an earlier version if needed.

Let us know which of these scenarios you're experiencing, and we'll be happy to guide you further.
