I have both tasks and story issue types in my team’s Jira.
I’m looking to make use of the Estimation feature, but I am unable to add story points to issues that are type = task.
I can add them manually to tasks in Jira, but this is highly inefficient! Is this a bug ?

What you're describing may be linked to how Jira handles the Story Points field across different issue types. By default, this field is often only configured for Story issue types and may not appear or sync correctly for Tasks, even if it can be added manually in Jira.
That said, I’ve also reached out to the team internally to confirm whether this is expected behavior or a potential bug on the Miro side. I’ll update this thread once I hear back.
In the meantime, it might help to check with your Jira admin to ensure that the Story Points field is added to the Task issue type in the field configuration and screens.
