Github Integration (Github Cards)

We are using Github Issues and we would love to have a Github Integration very similar to JiraCards. Since we use Miros story mapping framework for organizing our stories, it would be great to sync the releases of the story map to the milestones of the Github issue as well.

The current integration (with Zapier) is does not meet our needs, as this kind of integration does not sync the cards in both directions.

Was it helpful?

We use Aha for our product ideation and GitHub for our Agile Delivery Planning.  It would be great to integrate with both.

Should not be too difficult as it is showcased in a Miro for Developers feature demo:

Would be nice if Miro could build and provide this on par with Jira issues.

Hey Miro Community!

I’m Aidin from ServiceRocket, and we’re excited to team up with Miro for something cool. We've created a new integration that brings GitHub into Miro, designed to boost transparency and efficiency for product-engineering and design teams.

We're almost at the last stretch before launch of the product and would love for some Miro teams to help us polish this tool.

Here are some sneak peeks:

What’s in it for?

By joining, you’ll get early access to our GitHub for Miro integration, where you can visualize engineering tasks and manage team activities like sprint reviews and roadmaps, all in Miro. Plus, you'll help shape the product and make your workflow smoother than ever!

Interested? Just reply here or send me an email at aidin[at]servicerocket.com.

Hi @Waldemar B, @Phill Coppock, and @2jan.

Miro’s new GitHub integration (with GitHub issues) went live in the past week! You can watch this 5 minute demo video to see how the app works.

You can install the app via the Miro Marketplace where you can also find relevant app documentation which shows how to configure the app. Thanks again for your feedback, and please let us know what you think of this integration - all feedback is appreciated as we aim to continually improve. Thank you!

@Horea Porutiu This looks super nice! But a bit thrown off by this message though:

📣Preview Release: Experience our new GitHub for Miro app with all its core features now, while pricing details will be available soon.

I am happy to see the official release. I’ve been betatesting this add-on for a while. What I miss the most is the ability to convert Miro-Cards into Github-Issues. Further than that I would like to see a significantly bigger “description” text area, since this field isually contains a lot of content in our case.

Thank you for this add on! :)

@Waldemar B I know you have been using the cards to represent action items. I’d love to understand the way you and your team works a bit better. If you’d start a new board/project today, would you still use cards? How does you/your team uses cards vs. sticky notes?

We support sticky notes atm because it allows the natural collaboration/brainstorming on ideas (sticky notes) to turn into action items (GitHub cards). Let’s connect to discuss!
