Emoji not displayed in Windows 10 app

I am a fairly new user of Miro and am switching between the web-based and Windows 10 apps. When  attempting to add emoji in the app, they are not displayed, but if I switch to the web view, they are there.

Thanks for your reply, Robert.

Firstly, I didn’t realise that there are two options for Windows. I was using the App Store version and in my eagerness, I assumed (Ass-U-Me!) that this was the same as the desktop app. I have now installed the desktop app and icons are appearing as expected.
