Hi @LizaVe , thanks so much for your question, and welcome to the Miro Community! 😊
You're absolutely right to notice that there's a difference in how Data Tables and Timeline widgets behave for guests — and I’m happy to clarify what’s going on.
Miro’s Data Tables feature recently moved out of beta and is now generally available. With this transition, Miro has refined permissions for certain advanced widgets like Data Tables and Timelines. Currently, guests and visitors have view-only access to these widgets — even if they have full editor access on the board itself.
If you or others need to edit Data Tables or create new ones, you’ll need to be invited as a full member of the team, rather than as a guest. This ensures that only team members have editing rights for more complex or data-sensitive features.
That said, the team is aware of some inconsistencies in how these permissions show up on different boards, especially if the tables were created during the earlier beta phase. The product team is investigating that behavior to ensure things work consistently going forward.
Thanks again for raising this — I know changes like this can be unexpected, and we really appreciate your patience as the team works to smooth out the experience!
Let me know if you have any other questions I can help with.
