Hi!
I want to use Miro app on Ubuntu 22.04 with Wacom Intuos CTL-4100WL (bluetooth) tablet.

All work, but when i switch to pen mode, cursor remain with arrow icon.

If i use mouse or touchpad, cursor change to pen icon when chose pen mode.

I'm not sure if it's an Ubuntu or Miro issue. If anyone can help, thanks in advance!

Hi @Fratiman Vladut,

Since the mouse and touchpad work as expected, this could be a compatibility issue between Miro and the way Ubuntu handles pen input.

A few things you might try:

  1. Check system settings – Ensure your Wacom tablet is correctly recognized under Settings > Wacom Tablet in Ubuntu.
  2. Try the web version – If you're using the Miro desktop app, test it in a browser (Chrome or Firefox) to see if the issue persists.
  3. Update drivers – Make sure your Ubuntu system and Wacom drivers are up to date.
  4. Test other apps – See if the pen cursor updates properly in other drawing apps

If the issue continues, I recommend reporting it to Miro Support here so they can investigate further.

Let me know if you need any more help!

Hi!

Thanks for reply!

  1. Yes, tablet is recognized well. I made a mistake in the initial post, the Ubuntu version is 24.04.
  2. This is how I tried to use Miro, in the Google Chrome browser.
  3. System is updated
  4. I try firefox, same problem.
Also i try’it online app sketchpad.io. Here it works as expected, when using a writing instrument, the cursor takes the shape of a pen for both the mouse and the tablet.
In https://www.canva.com/draw/, same problem like in miro. Cursor change for mouse but remain arrow for tablet.
