Is is possible to disconnect and re-attach nodes in a mind map?

I want to be able to take nodes in a mind map and detach them from their current parent and re-attach to a different parent. Am I missing something or is this currently impossible?

Holding down the Ctrl/Cmd keys and dragging will move a node to a different parent. This and a number of other tips are covered in the mind map help center topic here: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017730753-Mind-Map

What if I wanted to detach a node in a mind map diagram and make it a parent node? a top node? Is this possible?

Thanks,
Victor

You can select a node and copy-paste or Duplicate (Ctrl/Cmd-D). This will make the copied/duplicated node a root/central node, but will also copy/duplicate any child nodes, so you would need to delete them.
