I would really, really, like a way to modify moving the view in all four directions using say the CTRL key to move up, down, left, right 100% of the distance currently viewed. Seems like a lot of applications do this (or even just jumping between frames like Sketch).

This would speed up a user tremendously and it’s frustrating to have to revert to the mouse + zoom out to pan large amounts

Was it helpful?

It would also be good, if you could drag board elments while navigating with the keyboard. Or vice versa, be able to navigate with the keyboard at all, while dragging some elements.

PLEASE implement something like this! Figma does this really well

Fully support the idea, found my way to Miro Community just to tell that.

Here is a list I made years ago where I check what other programs have done:

Paint
Scroll wheel Y-Axis
Scroll wheel + Ctrl Zoom

Chrome
Scroll wheel Y-Axis
Scroll wheel + Ctrl Zoom

Google Drive Drawing
Scroll wheel Y-Axis
Scroll wheel + Ctrl Zoom
Scroll wheel + Shift	X-axis

GIMP
Scroll wheel Y- axis (Up/Down)
Scroll wheel + Ctrl Zoom
Scroll wheel + Shift	X-axis (Left/Right)

Front Panel Designer
Scroll wheel Zoom
Scroll wheel + Ctrl Y-axis
Scroll wheel + Shift	X-axis

It should give a hint about the consensus out there.

I suggest Miro should use:

Scroll wheel Zoom
Scroll wheel + Ctrl Y-axis
Scroll wheel + Shift	X-axis
