It would be great to have the ability to add some sort of scale to a line. Whether it's distance or time.I'm blueprinting for an event and I want to essentially create an event timeline that's to scale. That would be awesome! ✌If this is already possible in some way, let me know.
I would like to have a Pen-tool where I could choose the time of life of the drawing. 10-20-30 seconds before the drawing or line disappear. Anti permanent marker :)
There are some curcumbstances - like when you handwrites on some pdf page on Miro and you need some particular pieces to be selected and copy-pasted. I know about shift + Click function, but if you didn’t lock bottom piece of pdf paper, so shift function would juct move that background paper instead of multi-select option. So it would be very nice to see some tool like lasso multi-selection or not-permanent-frame-function to just select some things in the middle of hand texts (or other objects) on the background pdf paper and then do whatever you want with it.
When I work on texts (from pdf, or screenshots, or web pages imported into my Miro board), I would like to be able to highlight, on the fly, words or phrases. It would be enough to be able to set the transparency of the drawings made with the pen, as it is already possible with shapes, so this feature seems easy to implement. And it would really be very efficient, especially for commenting live texts to students, as it is my case.
In order to keep the unwanted clutter to a minimum, have the option to disable the automatic creation of “My First Board”
As I was changing various permissions for a board that I own, on a team that I have been temporarily invited to, I just realized that I could just make the board public. Worse yet, I could make someone else’s board public. There should be an admin-level (Team or Company) permission setting(s) to limit the level of public access as well as who can set it in the first place.Just a few se cases:Sensitive information - should only be visible to those on the team. A consultant has added a client to a team/board a Full or Occasional user and doesn’t want them to share the board with others. A company had added users to a team and is conducting new product idea focus groups with participants whom signed an NDA and doesn’t want to risk anyone publicly sharing some/any boards, e.g., to competitors.A quick mockup of some possible options:
Drag a ‘pack’ of post-its (100) of various colours (start with Red, Orange, Green, Yellow) from the post-it fly out onto your board. Such that others can grab them and use them in a workshop (rather than have to explain how/where to get them or copy them or. have a key) for newbies etc..
Hello! My wish to add to the list is for a monthly or 2 month calendar template, that will auto populate with the correct dates for when the user accesses it. Is this something that currently exists? If not, could one be made? Best, Janelle
Situation: Mind mapping related topics at different meetings, each on its own board. We need to combine and blend them into a living, greater mindmap, without killing off (abandoning) the contributing maps. So copy/paste or import from other maps into a bigger map won’t do the job. The different teams may have “ownership” of the work that went into their individual maps. Indicate or signal transcluded content in a mindmap. “This lives somewhere else.” “Click here to open these transcluded nodes in their contributing map.”Some outliner apps, like those by Dave Winer, offer transclusion. Any node in this outline can be included by reference as a node (with its children) in another outline. Wikipedia uses transclusion too. Benefits to collaboration: Let contributors combine prior art to make a bigger context Preserve autonomy of individual and teams contributors in their own maps Keep bigger picture maps accurate and fresh as other maps grow Improves parallel work by letting teams have smaller focus
Node text defaults to vertically aligning to the middle (around the node wire). I’d like the option to default to top-align the text, especially when it wraps. So your eye goes to the first line of the sentence/paragraph in the node, improving readability.
I often lock my frames in order to prevent inadvertent moving of the frames, but when I do that I lose the ability to export the frame as an image. Please allow frames to be exported as an image when they are locked.
On the main page with the boards list, it would be helpful to be able to filter by board share settings. This would help to manage boards once we have many boards and need to know quickly which boards are editable or not.
We would like the ability to require MFA for guests that have been invited to boards. We’d also like the ability to require MFA for editors that are not on our Domain. We use SAML for users on our domain but do not want to add editors that are not on our domain to our authentication provider. Having the ability to enable MFA on certain accounts allows us to meet security requirements.
PDF exports don’t work in bluebeam...please make them compatible
We are looking for a feature to control the default permission choice for users being invited to a board. When you share a board to someone, we would like the default share option to be view or comment only instead of edit. This could save us from accidentally sharing the board out with edit rights by mistake.
Right now I find Miro hard to use as the action that will be performed on the board is not indicated beforehand. A number of examples:(a)In a board with a single box Miro will move the box or the diagram depending if I click inside or outside of the box. It does not indicate the “to-be-performed” action by the cursor beforehand (which is an industry best practice I believe). This is bad as my view may not show this outside box and the action I perform may not be the one I intend to perform. Since I don’t exactly know what is going to happen I operate the tool a bit in a blind mode. (b)Miro has a “hand tool” to move the board and a “pointer tool”. Both tools are mixed in operation. When I use the pointer tool I expect it to mark multiple elements (as other tools do). It does not do that but acts as “hand tool” which was (again) not indicated by the curser icon beforehand. The “hand tool” is further not obviously available in the tool menu on the left. There is only an un-intuitive method to toggle between both tools.Overall this is pretty basic stuff I like to see improved.
All of the images we upload are the same size, but we need to scale them down to fit onto our boards. We upload using a high resolution, so they are huge..50% reduction is not enough. It would be super helpful if we could type in a percentage to reduce scale too. Images are uploaded sparadically through out the season, but we like a cohesive feel to the board. We want all PNGs to be exactly the same size. At the moment, we have to resize every image by hand and drag them on top of eachother to ensure they are the same size. Similar to adobe, we wish to be able to say “please scale this image to 10%”… if we could do that, it would save us A LOT of time! Thank you , thank you!!! We love Miro!
When using Mind map, I would like to add text in the connector lines like we do for the connector lines connecting stickys and shapes.
Right now an iFrame on a board is just a thumbnail that sends users off the board. :-(We need to establish a single point of truth and therefore must embed iFrames on Miro boards that update automatically in intervals and are pointed for example on prototypes/wireframes on www.Axure.cloud or other tools for handover hosting.
To improve building a mindmap with a keyboard I would suggest to let the escape key delete an empty node and move back up tree if no text has been entered. Example.Cursor is on Tier 1 node, you press TAB to open an empty Tier 2 and allow for keyboard inputIf you press escape at this moment the edit mode will disappear and the cursor will be placed on the Tier 2 node without a label. If you had made a mistake you need to press delete to be taken back to tier 1 and you can make this one keystroke less than it needs to be. I suggest that the expected behaviour should be something like thisCursor is on Tier 1, you press tab to open an empty Tier 2 and allow for keyboard inputIf you have not added any text and press escape the now empty Tier 2 node would be deleted and the cursor moved back to Tier 1 similar to how the DEL key functions when you delete a node. This will allow for swift recovery when using Keyboard input to be able to correct mistakes and traverse the tree easily.
HI,we just now starting using miro in our design school class.i would like to know if it’s possible to present a slideshow based on a multiple frames, but in full screen, without the jumping between the frames, to the rest of the miro board participants, without sharing my screen.if it’s not possible right now I would like to recommend for it.our class will really priciest it.tnxYuval
