Hey - as with everyone on here I’ve loved learning to use Miro over COVID and can see it being a tool for the future! It’s become a central hub for our multi-org, large constrium projects - a great collection point for research (Images, PDFs, Video links, article links) and diagram creation. But when it comes time to create a final write up (usually in a DTP package like InDesign) it’s labrious to download each individual image, PDF, export each diagram as a frame individually…..It’d be great if there was a ‘bulk download’ feature that let me select multiple objects at once and download them in 1 click!
The AbstractIt would be great to have voice integration with voice assistants for adding sticky notes without having to load up the app.The ProblemTo add notes or ideas to Miro, we have to load the app. This makes it hard to put things like todo lists or collect feedback that might occur to people spontaneously.Often I will have ideas to put on the board and forget to put them there by the time I can open the app to log them all.The SolutionCreate an integration with IFTTT to enable voice assistants to create objects on the board. It might make sense to include a lot of requirements/constraints to help avoid this from becoming a big mess.Ideas to increase usability but constrain it.Only allow creation of sticky notes. Reject shape creation with no text ingredient. Require a parent shape. I noticed that tab-creating sticky notes already uses some logic to detect that it should stay inside of parent shapes. The user would need some way to configure this per-board. I’m thinking it could be a per-board setting. Or you could create some sort of shape or magic sauce that specifically attaches to IFTTT. I’m guessing this is how JIRA and others are integrated. The Vision“Hey Google, add a note to Miro.”“What board would you like to add it to?”“Project Post Mortem”“Okay, what would you like the note to say?”“Jimmy was really helpful when we had to escalate.”
I am not seeing this functionality in Miro.I want to group objects together into a symbol and repeat it across my doc. I want to update all instances by changing just the master. Is this possible? If not then we need this functionality. As it is I need to go back into Adobe XD and do my storyboarding there.
I was hoping to organize our boards better so that we have e.g. various materials we often present to externals on a topic in one project, but I don’t want to lose track of how they are used internally. So e.g. we have some boards which have architectural material on various software we build, we often want to show those things when discussing specific products. We also have various comparisons etc. gathered in another board which is not architectural but is related to the same software. We regularly need to access the materials based on what type of things they are - e.g. architectural, and that’s how we’ve primarily organized these. However occasionally it would be helpful to also access them based on other criteria, such as software / project it’s related to.This would be possible if the project control was a multi-select, or there was some sort tagging system, or folders.
It would be ideal if as a user you could select each frame for your presentation and set it to transition when in presentation mode. Similar to the Transition feature in PowerPoint.
Appreciating peers is one of the effective motivating factor in a team. So in order to make it effective in remote teams, I wish to have an option to include appreciation card in the miro board. You can give the card as a sub type of sticky notes or you can provide it as an separate template.
I would like to be able to provide a link to guest users (or registered users outside of my organisation) which points to a particular custom template. When the link is clicked, a new board should be created, with the contents of the custom template added.I can see this behaviour within the templates section of the Miro website, with the ‘Use Template’ buttons: https://miro.com/templates/action-plan/Referencing previous forum post: https://community.miro.com/got-a-question-ask-the-community-45/link-to-custom-template-1615
I find myself zooming out to position ideas on a board. Then, I find myself zooming in on a graphic or graphic+text. it would be nice to automatically center the objects. I’ve attached a short screencam showing that I need to reposition the objects. I do it often enough where it would be nice to have an option to do it automatically. Link to screencam video
I would like to have the possibility to have the "Board history" option also available for a single cell. Currently, if I select a single cell and right-click "info", I see who created the cell and who last modified it. But it would be really helpful if I could see detailed info of that one cell instead of having to search through massive amount of changes in the overall "Board History" of the complete whiteboard.
Can MIRO add a filtering and reporting option to the Company Teams Page/List so we can download a report (.csv) of all the Teams and filter of the listed Teams;Who owns/created the Team When was it created Who is in the Team How many boards created Last logged in details Maybe more?Comments?
Is there any adjustment that can be made to ensure that voters cannot see where others’ cursors are during voting? I had tested the program out with a colleague and we did not have others’ cursors visible and so had not realized this challenge. Does anyone (including the Miro team) have a creative fix for this? It seems like it should be something that could be remedied, but no existing community questions seem to address this adequately so far. Any help would be appreciated!
When creating a voting session - I moved an object by mistake trying to select objects but I’m not able to undo my action after I’ve clicked on the select option on the right side.So as a result I have to come of the selection feature on voting to undo.
Currently when you drop in a link for a youtube, vidyard, etc the link displays in a lightbox. App.goconsensus.com links should display in a similar fashion.
Could you folks pls consider prioritising enabling this use case? It might go more or less like this (early idea, pls iterate): Given Consultant from Org X owns a boardAnd Client from Org Y is a member of that board with edit rightsAnd the Miro Admin at Org X has not permitted Consultants to transfer board ownership with any user outside of the Org XWhen Consultant tries to transfer ownership of board to Client,Then Client can see that it now owns the board,And the board appears within Org Y boundaries,And Miro Admin gets notified that the transfer happened to Org Y Enterprise AccountAnd can identify the Consultant who did it (so that Miro Admin can ask about it offline, if she so desires) Something like that. I wrote about similar stuff here. It’s just so painful to climb up the org ladder to get this one approval to this one client. Can you imagine for every single handoff? God no. Thanks, team!
I would really love to see REST-API features for Education, to integrate Miro within our Custom Learning Analytics Solutions. Is there any way to see such a feature any time soon? I think this would allow for researchers to analyze collaboration and online learning a lot better.
Love drawing in miro - and the way its instantly generated across all devices to all users is great. What would take it to the next level is to have a little shortcut bar (like notability, apple notes etc) that you can quickly switch between tools (pen, eraser, highlighter etc) and also the ability to set shortcuts such as two finger tap to undo the last action. To expand on this - having the ability to set the eraser to pixel erase, rather than erase a whole line / element
Now that drawing on the ipad using pencil in miro has improved quite a bit I find myself drawing directly on boards often. This has some wishlist items to make this easier to draw quickly in real-time. One wishlist item is an undo shortcut (i default to the two finger tap common in ipad drawing programs but am always surprised when it doesn’t work 😂) And while the lasso is a big help, it would be nice if there was some way to distinguish the drawn elements from the other stuff when selecting. Not sure how that would look because sometimes one does want to select some drawn stuff as well as the sticky it’s draw on. sb
Hello,we need flowchart integration that is fast and cool.I show this by using graphics from a competitor and the flowchartintegration is breathtaking - just the same like miro is as a whiteboard tool:First a picture of a result of an implemented graphic: You can see that the symbols can have a gradient.Even sketching is possible. They have a lot of symbols that have editable fonts inside on every of this symbols:It opens additonal windows:And information is placed inside the symbol: You can even rotate the shape and the fonts are untouched: It would be great if this can make it into miro.Michael
Here is my wish : ASIS : In the Cards Panel, you get a navigation view to all the cards in your board.TOBE : Get a navigation view to all the cards in all the boards of the team, and be able to sort it by due date. ASIS Card Panel
I would like to right click and drag an object to a new location to create a copy of it there. This would allow me to quickly create a copy (a common task in Miro) using only the mouse. I am used to this behaviour from Simulink (essentially also a flow chart tool for engineers) and also Microsoft PowerPoint and therefore continually find myself attempting to use it, only to realise that it doesn’t work and having to use the more cumbersome Alt+Drag or Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V. Thanks
I often generate PDFs from my miro boards so that participants have a documentation.Ordering the frames one-by-one is really cumbersome.I really would like to have an automatic sorting feature for the frames: a button which orders the frames in “reading order”, so from top left to bottom right. (In other countries: according to their reading order). I think this would cover 80% of all use cases.
