When I create timelines, I tend to use the weeks setting, which helpfully places the dates in the header column. (See sample images below to clarify.)

It would be really helpful for me and my team if the dates included only Monday–Friday. For example, This would mean the dates below would instead be Sep 23–Sep 27, Sep 30–Oct 04, and Oct 07–Oct 11.

Planning conversations would be easier if my team and I could just look at this view rather than jumping between here and Google Calendar to see Friday’s date.

Echoing this idea from last year. When my users look at timelines in Miro they always ask why nothing is happening on certain dates and I have to explain that those are the weekends and I can’t hide them.

Most other timelines we use across other platforms have this feature so users are often surprised to hear there isn’t a way for us to hide the weekends.

Agreed with everything above, surprised this isn’t a default feature tbh as it’s used on most SAAS that produce gantt charts

Yes please, weekend exclusion and clearer distinction between the weeks using block colours like it used to, anyone using this for project planning would find this helpful

Adding a yes please to this. I just did the first large scale timeline and was surprised to find that I couldn’t filter out weekends from the view. Most timeline builders operate on a standard Mon-Fri layout.

This would be extremely useful as weekends are making some tasks look longer than they actually are.
