Enable board owner to manage board notifications for users with access to it

Leadership and other important stakeholders love the slick layout of product alignment artifacts and roadmaps in Miro, which they access through an embedded Google page. These artifacts are reviewed and updated on periodic (eg quarterly and annually) basis and shared widely.

Anyone is welcome to add comments/questions/feedback to the board. Additionally, the roadmaps and other items that are updated periodically can be tweaked a few times before being ‘finalized’ to incorporate feedback and decisions made during periodic review.

The problem is that these numerous small touches to the Miro board trigger content update notification emails to all who have access to the board. This has created some “alert fatigue” resulting in reduced engagement with the board and hesitancy to add questions/comments to it.

While we could have multiple Miro boards to reduce communication, the team collaborating with it like that they can see all content in one place.

How might we enable board owners to manage notifications and communication to board users so that email notifications are targeted to major board updates?

ex: small updates do not trigger board change email notifications, board owner can choose to send out the board change on a scheduled basis (eg once per month) or ad hoc basis.
