Change Date Format

Currently, Miro only supports date formats in a MMDDYYYY format. This is not a format widely used outside the US, most countries use DDMMYYYY or YYYYMMDD.

Please could Miro either allow users to select adopt a preferred date format which suits their needs in settings, or derive the format from the user’s browser or system settings.

+1 for this. At least make the default yyyy-MM-dd rather than the confusing US date format. Better still, let people specify the date format. This should apply to the whole Miro UI.

to avoid format confusion is it possible to use DD-MMM-YYYY  in any order?

so

3 Feb 2023

is still clear if it is

Feb 3 2023

or

2023 Feb 3

but this is not ideal for other languages…

It is important to be able to see the year wherever dates are reported.

This is essential for us too. I logged a support request and was told to change my locale from English to German or another language!! … clearly that doesn’t help me or my team.

mm/dd/yyyy appears to be unique in the English speaking world to the USA (and possibly Canada although I’ve seen both from friends/colleagues in Canada).

Don’t take my word for it - see for example: List of date formats by country - Wikipedia

Miro - can you please add an English (International) local that uses dd/mm/yyyy or better yet just expose the date format as a preference that the user can set as they see fit?

This is likely a showstopper for me. I don’t think I could pay for a piece of software that uses an illogical date format as the only option. Sad that this request was made two years ago and has not been implemented.
