In many other applications, especially note taking applications, the S Pen button can be held down to change the tool, often to an eraser tool. It would be cool if support for the button could be added such that we can map some function to it(or just have it swap between the current tool and the eraser).

Yes please!

Yes please!!!!!!!

This is a basic function. We have been waiting for 2 years.

I just got a Samsung tablet and the spen integration with Miro is terrible. I’m looking for another app to use as Miro’s Team is still thinking about whether implementing such a basic functionality is worth it. Hopefully they will eventually implement it and bring me back to the platform.

Bumping up. Now, I use an additional note taking app instead of MIRO. I would love to get rid of it.

I miss so much this option to erase with the programable button.

The S-pen works like a charm, the normal functionality. Just the button is missing.

Currently, it is not possible to use the S Pen on a Samsung tablet to write in Miro, as the eraser button is not supported. This feature is just as important as the writing function itself.

I would love to use Miro for teaching, but without this capability, it becomes impractical. Every other writing app on my Samsung tablet fully supports the button, making this limitation even more noticeable. Additionally, the lack of this feature significantly slows down my workflow. By habit, I instinctively press the button to erase, only to realize it doesn’t work. This forces me to go through a tedious, multi-step process—manually selecting the eraser, making the corrections, and then switching back to the pen.

In online teaching, time management is especially important, as any unnecessary interruption—like having to go through extra steps just to erase something—disrupts the lesson’s flow. When teaching live, I need to be able to write and erase smoothly, just as I would on a physical whiteboard. These inefficiencies add up, making Miro simply not viable for this use case.

I am genuinely baffled that multiple users have requested this feature, including one post from four years ago, yet Miro has still not implemented it. Given how essential this functionality is for an effective digital writing experience, I sincerely hope the team prioritizes it in future updates.

3 years of upvoting ^(.. please, do that ^)

And I thought my app was bugged...

It's a shame, really, I was excited then I bought my Tab 9 that I would finally be able to ditch my laptop and write everything in Miro while travelling. Not supporting the button (like every other app does) even by defaulting it to an eraser is a deal breaker, since I'm not very keen on switching modes every 5 seconds when I want to do correct a minor mistake. So OneNote it is. Even with all its jank (and it has so much jank) its developers understand that users want to erase things and defaults the S pen button to erasing.

It's been 4 years since this suggestion has been posted and I can't image why Miro still doesn't support a feature that is 1) extremely easy to implement, and 2) essential to make user experience not horrible.

It's even more ridiculous, since they somehow managed to add similar support to Apple pencil in just 3 weeks during the festive season. Yet, we're waiting 4 years for a simple feature and nothing has been done, even though Samsung tablets are second only to Apple when it comes to market share.

Until this feature is added, I don't think Miro is usable on Samsung tablets (not without any 3rd party apps, that is). I sincerely hope that they add it quickly.

Purchased Miro 5 minutes ago, and already disappointed because this basic and obvious feature doesn’t exist.
