Add invisible frame type that's just for linking and jumping to

I want to make a slide-show essentially, and found how to create links to jump to the next frame/object, but I want to create an invisible frame that’s just a box that represents the zoom level for the content (to fill the screen), and I want these frames to be overlapping without “owning/containing” all the objects within them, so I can have overlapping logical frames/slides.

An alternative would be to have a zoom-area action/setting for each object that’s linked, so the zoom level/area can be defined for when the jump occurs. Right now if I pick an object the jump zooms that object to full screen, which makes me want to use a frame to define it better, but my jump-areas need to be overlapping so that doesn’t work...

Adding this as a jump setting (associated with the linked object) would be like the area/zoom choice people pick when sharing a miro board. This might make more sense than a new logical frame type, but there might be other benefits of a new frame type like this?

BTW, I figured out a way to do this that’s almost perfect. Don’t need a frame. Select all the objects you want on one “slide” and group them, then when picking the jump target select the group instead of a single object or frame, don’t need to put them in a frame. Works perfectly, including if you have overlapping “slides” focused on different combinations of objects. So have one zoomed area focused on object A and B, then next slide focused on object B and C only. This process adds a new kind of control associated with the group that I haven't played with yet. Glad I discovered this trial and error.

Nice going @Troy Acott ! Glad you managed to find a work around.

I was running into this exact issue - and couldn’t get a workaround with grouping or frames - so I actually ended up making a little app that lets you quickly add jump points to different areas on the board.

It doesn’t make anything visible on the canvas, which is what I think you were looking for, but still outlines all the jump points within the left app interface.

Saving me a ton of time going back and forth across different places or objects in the board.

Hope this helps if anyone else is looking for this kind of functionality and doesn’t come right with the above: https://miro.com/app-install/?response_type=code&client_id=3458764647261869483&redirect_uri=%2Fapp-install%2Fconfirm%2F
