When I’m setting boards up, I’ll often lock contents to a Frame, but leave the frame unlocked so that I can fine tune order, spacing, etc. as I wrap the board design and prep it for the group to use. With frames unlocked, I can scroll across a an area with multiple frames to select everything and move it, adjust it, etc.

The very last step for me is to go lock all of the frames down, and I regularly have dozens of frames, and sometimes (gasp) frames within frames, since I love those automatic drop-shadows so much.

It is not uncommon to accidentally miss the locking of a frame here or there, which we all know can cause a bit of unwanted chaos in a workshop.

If a locked frame displayed a small icon next to its frame label indicating it’s locked or unlocked, that would be so helpful to me. The visibility of said icon could match the capability to lock/unlock frames. A color coding on the two icons (lock vs. unlock) would make it even easier at a glance to see if I missed one.

Was it helpful?
