We use connection lines extensively to link ideas to expanding text (for example a connection line between an entry in a mindmap to sticky notes outside the mindmap).

When using the Table function this is not possible. When creating a connecting line (from a sticky for example) to the Table, the line moves whenever something is added above or below the cell or line you wanted to connect to, and it no longer connects to its original item.

Similarly when removing the snap function (using Command on Mac) and putting the connecting line directly on the cell, the line has nothing to “hook on to” and just floats away as items are added in the cells of the table.

Would it be possible to give Cells in a Table the same functionality as lines in the Mind map, in other words that you can create a connection line directly linked to a cell in the table, and that the line moves with the cell as the table expands.

Was it helpful?
