Focus on a specific part of the MIndmap

I'm new with MIRO, but the introduction video shows impressive feature deck. However, something I did not find in Miro (as well in many other mindmap tools), is the ability to zoom in to a part of the tree.

What I want is to create an all encompassing mindmap for a specific topic. But that topic consist of subtopic, and these subtopic consist of subtopic. Ideal for a mindmap. But, in a "focus" mode you do not want to have to overall overview, but concentrate on a smaller area. So, the ability to soom in to a sub (or sub-sub-sub) topcic, and make that the center of the mindmap.

Is such possible with Miro?

Was it helpful?

Hi @Remco

Welcome to the Miro Community, and thank you for your question! I'm glad to hear that you're exploring the powerful features Miro offers.

As of now, Miro does not have a dedicated feature for zooming in on a specific part of the mind map to focus solely on that area while hiding the rest. I can definitely see how that would be useful, especially when dealing with complex, multi-layered mind maps.

I've converted your post into a wishlist item so that our product team can consider it for future updates. In the meantime, a possible workaround could be using frames to isolate specific sections of your mind map and then zooming in on those frames as needed. It's not exactly what you're asking for, but it might help with managing focus.

Please feel free to share any additional details or ideas on how this feature could benefit your workflow. Your input is valuable and can help shape the future of Miro!

For those coming across this idea, if you feel this would be helpful for your use of Miro please be sure to vote for it and leave a comment about your use case to help our team scope this request

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
