Accessibility: semantic heading levels for text

  • Sami Rouhiainen

I had a workshop with a blind client recently and a major issue for a screen reader user came up.

It would be really beneficial if Miro would have semantic heading levels for text. At the moment the Miro board provides no semantic structure for a screen reader. Semantic structure is needed to for a blind user to skim and scan the content, otherwise they need to navigate through the whole board one item at a time to get some understanding what the content is.

Using Frames helps a little, semantic heading levels for text would help a lot.

Was it helpful?
