Callout: option to make tail not sticky

Example: I use callouts to design chat bots and place them inside a table.

And all tails of callouts are sticked to the underlying table cell.

It becomes near to impossible to move callouts or resize table cells because after each resize all tails are messed up.

Another trouble: when you copy-paste a callout and its tail occurs over other shape you move the callout and then have to move the tail separately.

It would be awesome to have a trigger which disables sticky tails.

Also, I tried a Dialog box from the wireframing set. But it has got drawbacks:

  • Its tail could not be moved around;
  • To resize the tail you have to resize the block width and height at the same time;
  • If you want just to resize the block width and height at once then the tail get resized too;
  • You can’t change block background color because it’s a wireframe.

Workaround:

  • Create a small transparent circle
  • Attach callout tail to the circle
  • Group callout with the circle
  • Move the group everywhere without bothering about the tail

This is still an ongoing issue, and makes it really difficult when re-scaling process maps.

Any update on a fix?
