Import Bullet Points into Sticky Notes

Like importing from a spreadsheet works right now, but with a bulleted list.

For example:

  • Many people takes notes in bullet form
  • Many agendas are written in bullets
  • Bullets are a great way to organize information in a linear document

Imagine being able to select and copy that entire bulleted list and then paste into a Miro board. You could get asked “Paste your data as a text box or convert the bullets into sticky notes” just like when pasting in cells. Then you could have one stick note for each bullet.

There’s a simple workaround for this.

  1. Copy your bullet list text
  2. Paste into excel (copy from each bullet will get pasted into a separate cell without the bullet)
  3. Copy your newly pasted cells
  4. Click the Miro frame you want to paste stickies to
  5. Click paste
  6. Select “Paste as sticky notes”

As long as text is on a different line in the file you’re copying from (not sure if a soft return counts, but a hard return does) or it’s in a bulleted/numbered list format… it will paste into separate excel cells.

This is a great workaround @Tara Jensen! Thank you for sharing!

I would still love the ability to directly import, but this will satisfy my short term needs.
