I am trying to convert our Jamboards into Miro Boards however the only option for import is to upload back up (seen below). I have tried to upload it as a Pdf however, the notes are, of course, unselectable. Any advice would be appreciated at this time.

@Asha Legendre-Simpson - The Upload from backup is only for Miro board backup .rtb files.

Upon further investigation (via a Google search of “import jamboards to miro” (because I had no idea if anything existed), I found this from the Miro dashoard:

Which launches this prompt:

I created a test Jamboard and it imported a sticky note and drawing and it turned out alright!

In Miro:

Hi @Robert Johnson , Thank you so much for further investigating and testing it on your end. I am still hitting a snag as I do not have the ability to select any additional import options. I am unaware if this a limitation of my account or an error.

@Asha Legendre-Simpson - Ahhh, that import feature looks to only be available for the following plan types:

You could buy a single license Starter Plan for one month for $10, import your Jamboards, and then cancel your subscription.

Note: Rather than upgrading your current Free Plan, you could create a new team, purchasing just one seat/license:

Note: If the “+” icon says “Join more teams”, you can also create a new tea/subscription by going to → https://miro.com/pricing/

Thank you @Robert Johnson , for the prompt reply, clarification and tips.

@Asha Legendre-Simpson, I experienced the same issue in hopes to migrate from Jamboard to Miro after Google’s recent announcement. Lo and behold I’ve a clever workaround. In order to see “Import from Jamboard” as a selection in dropdown menu, yes, you do have to be a paid user. However Miro offers a FREE 14-DAY TRIAL for the Business Plan. I upgraded my account via free trail (heads up they require credit card details) and then I cancelled the plan right away. I still had 14 days remaining but it did allow me to “Import from Jamboard”. Hope this helps.

After upgrading to Business Plan via free trail, you’ll see more import options

Heads up, you’ll have until December 31, 2024 to migrate from Jamboard into Miro per source below:

Hi @Watson

Thank you for sharing that clever workaround! The free 14-day trial is definitely a great option for anyone looking to import Jamboards into Miro without committing to a paid plan.
