Hey builders! 👋

The wait is over. We are incredibly excited to announce that the Miro Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server is now in Public Beta!

The infinite canvas is the perfect place for AI agents to brainstorm, plan, and visualize data. With this new MCP server, you can connect your favorite AI coding assistants directly to your Miro boards.

💡 What can you do with it? Currently, we support two powerful workflows:

  1. Generate Diagrams: Turn your PRDs, code snippets, or raw text into visual Miro diagrams automatically.

  2. Generate Code: Let your AI agent "read" your Miro board (including PRDs, diagrams, and mockups) to scaffold code for you.

🛠️ Supported Tools We have Day 1 support for:

  • Cursor

  • VS Code & GitHub Copilot

  • Claude Code

  • Windsurf

  • Replit

  • Lovable

  • Kiro CLI

  • Amazon Q IDE Extension

  • Gemini CLI

Enterprise Users: Please note that if you are on an Enterprise Plan, your Admin needs to enable the integration first. Admin Guide here.

We can’t wait to see what agents you build! Let us know your feedback in the comments below or via our Feedback Form.

Happy coding! 🚀

There’s something wrong with the MCP permissions. It appears to be missing the read/write scope.

Hey @Derek Cummings, thank you for reporting this and sorry you are facing this issue. Could you please let me know some more details here to help me debug this?

Which MCP Client are you using? Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or something else? and which steps did you take to get to the error, and what does the error message say? If you could provide this info it would help us diagnose the problem.

Hi @Horea Porutiu

I was using the custom connector in Claude Web. I tried uninstalling the connector and clearing cache and cookies a number of times but the kept running into authentication issues. I would authenticate upon the initial connection, then later inside a chat thread I’d be asked to connect a second time, and this is where it would run into issues.

Hey @Derek Cummings

I’ve tested this this morning and I believe the issue is fixed now, could you please give it one more try when you get a chance?

Yup it’s working now. I still had to log in 3 times but it’s working,  ty.

@Horea Porutiu it’s requiring me to reauthenticate with each individual action/mcp call, but it does work, just annoying that you have to keep authenticating :)
