Urgent question about collaborating on a board via teams

I am trying to set up a board for collaboration on teams. I have tried following the sharing process and sent the link to another person, but he is unable to access the board. I am on a starter plan. Please can someone advise urgently as I need to do this tomorrow morning for a group of people in a training session. 

what am I not doing that I need to do.

​@Jeanettesilver With the Starter Plan, to allow a non-team member to edit your boards, you’ll need to use the Visitors, i.e., Anyone with the link access method:
