Question

The timer is too loud, is there any way to control the volume without lowering system volume?

Hello,

We use Miro for our retros and make use of the timer function but we’re finding ourselves stopping the timer manually before it runs out because the sound it makes is just too loud.
Is there any way to adjust it or if not, could this be implemented?

Thank you

@Alican Gultekin -

As far as I know there is no way to modify the volume of the timer app beyond your system settings so I’d suggest reviewing the wish list topic guidelines here (Wish List: Everything You Need to Know 🌠 | Miro) and logging a new enhancement request if you wish to.

@Alican Gultekin - If youre using a browser to access Miro, you could check the settings for website-specific volume settings. And if you're using Chrome, you could choose to take matters into your own hands and use a browser extension to control the volume of a specific tab: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/volume-master/jghecgabfgfdldnmbfkhmffcabddioke

There may be other extensions to allow you to control the volume by domain, e.g., all sounds from miro.com.

this seems an accessibility issue for people with impaired hearing, people can spam ‘wow’, ‘fireworks’, ‘crickets’, etc, making it hard to hear colleagues talking
