I have a table that I use to monitor the activity of the team. We create cards for each subject, drag them down to the table, or sometimes drag a line from a table to creat a card and then move it to a Miro Kanban.

Recently, we wanted to add some visibility to other people in the company and have made synced copies of the table. We also agregated cards coming from various miro boards and dragging the to our now ‘main’ table to aggregate all activities. We also moved the table to a specific layer.

This is where things started to go wrong and I can’t find how to sole it : I no longer have the dots appearing at the left of a line to drag it and convert it to a card. This is a big issue for us. Copy and paste of the table in a fresh board with no syncing does not solve this. Any idea about how to go back to a normal behaviour ?

also less annoying but still an issue the table is saying we have like 10 synced views now while in fact there is only 1 remaining. After some tests it seems that everytime I created a synced copy it , it adds up to the number of synced views which is normal. However, deleting the synced view does not decrease the number of synced view in the main table. A click on the synced view short menu within the table does nothing, which might be because the synced was in fact deleted. Is there a way to manage and erase synced Views ?

Hi @François BIZET, thanks for the detailed explanation. I can see how this is disrupting your workflow, and I’ll do my best to help.

Here’s what we’ve seen and recommend so far:

1. Missing card conversion dots

The ability to drag from a row to create a card should still be available unless:

  • The table has become part of a synced view, which limits certain interactions.

  • The table or board layer is locked, or you're in a non-editable context (like view-only or presentation mode).

Try this:

  • Make sure you're editing the original table, not a synced copy.

  • If you’ve moved the table to a layer, check if that layer is locked or affected by a different permission set.

  • Copy-pasting into a fresh board should reset behavior, but if the issue persists, let me know if a short video is possible — that would help us investigate.

2. Inaccurate synced views count

We're checking with the team to confirm if there's a way to fully clear or reset stale synced view entries from the source table.

Let me know if you’d be open to sharing a screen recording or test board setup — I’d be happy to escalate this for a closer look.

Tank you for your answer. The table is not in a locked layer, so I believe I’m in an editable context. Copy and paste without syncing, even in a new board, does not solve the issue. Conversion dots are still missing.

Here’s a video showing the behaviour :

Thanks for the video @François BIZET

I’ve reviewed it and can confirm that this is not expected behavior, especially since the issue persists even on a new board with no synced views or locked layers.

I’ve now escalated this to the team for investigation and have linked your case directly. I’ll follow up here as soon as I hear back with any insights or next steps.
