Hello, previously I believe participants’ cursors were shown by default. Now, certainly in the App, I have the issue that cursors are hidden by default so every time I’m working on a board with others, I have to select to show cursors.
Is there a way to set cursors visible by default?

hi @EdwardGoodwin
You can set the cursors view by clicking the three dots next to the name of your board, then going to View and toggling the Collaborators Cursors button to on/off. This setting would apply to each board, so you’d have to set it to how you want it per board.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Elva,
What’s the difference between that and clicking the down arrow by the collaborators names? For me, even if I set the board to show cursors, when next I come to use the board, I have to re-click show cursors.
Is there a way to ensure that all boards have show cursors by default? I thought this was the default setting previously…
Edward
I probably should have added an @ElvaMiro tag. Sorry.
Hi @EdwardGoodwin
This is an individual setting, so by clicking on this button, you can hide or show cursors for yourself rather than for everyone on the board/in your team. If you are presenting, for example, you’d click off the cursors while presenting to avoid visual clutter, but others on the team would still see the cursors. I think that in your screenshot it’s turning on and off cursors by individual, while in mine, it’s for the whole board (but for you only).
Thanks @ElvaMiro I understand the difference. My colleagues (on PCs) have the cursors on by default for the same boards. For me, I have to toggle the ‘show cursors’ or ‘collaborators cursors’ option in order to see cursors every time I restart the application. Any thoughts? It’s a bit annoying.
Hi @EdwardGoodwin,
Since this differs between devices, it may be related to the app version or specific settings on Mac. I’d recommend double-checking that your app is fully updated and, if the issue persists, reaching out to Miro Support so they can investigate further. They may have a solution and to check if there’s a recent bug that causes inconsistency across devices.
Let us know if you need any more help!
Thanks @Eca - resetting the application data seems to have solved the problem. I’ll keep an eye on it and if it returns, I’ll contact Miro Support.
Have a good day! Edward
@EdwardGoodwin.
Glad it is now resolved after resetting the app’s data. If anything comes up, please do not hesitate to reach out!
