@adm jones - If you're looking to learn more about how to use Miro, they created the Miro Academy site with lots of (free) content (courses, videos, etc.). 

The Getting Started with Miro seems like a great starting point:

I can hardly top what these other people have mentioned, but maybe one other thought: if you can share a bit about what you WANT to be able to do -- e.g. what your goals with Miro are -- then I am sure you will be flooded with advice and best practices.

Oh, and I’d recommend quickly surfing over to https://miro.com/miroverse/. 

But BE CAREFUL! There is a huge danger to anyone coming to the Miroverse for the first time -- it could well be that your head will explode with all the incredible content and boards people have created! You’ll need a properly functioning head if you are going to get the full benefits from Miro.
