Hey all, is there a way a user can click on a link in Miro and not have to click TWICE to make it work?

Example:

When a user selects the link it drops down the specific URL link. Why can it just automatically follow the link? no way to turn this off?

@Jeremy Wheeler - Rather than pasting in a URL, you can add a link to a Miro shape (Ctrl-K) and paste the URL there. When someone clicks on the link it will directly launch the web site in a separate browser tab.

Thanks for the tip. I think the only issue here is it doesn’t go to the linked object unless the user clicks on the specific square in the top-right vs just the object.

@Jeremy Wheeler -

Correct. If the linked site has a unique site icon, that icon will show in place of the Miro generic icon to make it a little more obvious that we want folks to click there.

Is there a way to link to other content in miro, like another board and it use a custom icon?

@Jeremy Wheeler - unfortunately not. I believe there are already a few wish list topics related to customizing the link icon so you may want to locate and upvote those.
