I need to be able to export my MIRO board for my client as it is used for training. I need it in a frame by frame format, which used to be the export as PDF function. I don’t want it as a single hi-res image PDF. Now whenever I select the “save as PDF” option, it spins as if it’s thinking and then it stops and asks again in a perpetual loop. I tried both the app and the browser version. I also tried different browsers. This feature is broken. Please fix.

@Mike Kujawski If you haven’t already, you really should report this to the Miro support team, so they can troubleshoot the issue with you and even escalate it to engineering.

You can open a Miro support ticket by following these instructions:

HI @Mike Kujawski

Your post was a bit confusing for me. You wrote: “Now whenever I select the “save as PDF” option, it spins as if it’s thinking and then it stops and asks again in a perpetual loop.”  So . . . if the situation is that it is hanging - that also has happened to me from time to time.  OK, it has happened to me a lot. Thankfully, it has been a couple of months.

When it did happen, once quick fix was to chop a big board into small boards with fewer frames.

I also noticed this happened more during peak times e.g. 4 in the afternoon vs 4 in the morning.

Thankfully this problem has always then resolved itself. I assumed it was something due to the Miro back-end infrastructure (because it seemed related to how big the boards were).

Also - if you have anything “freaky” saved in a frame, you might experiment and see if that causes it.  What happens to me even today: from time to time I get a PDF, and I can VIEW the PDF, but the Adobe Creative Content service cannot handle the PDF - it claims it is corrupt.

Anyway, sorry for the probably lot of useless information I confused you with!

Cheers, Ken

Thanks, Ken. That would likely work as a temporary workaround but I’m more so looking for an actual fix to this bug. I use large boards and would like to be able to export as PDF to then provide them to my workshop participants. Saving them as low-res works but is useless as most of the text on the post-it notes can’t be read.

Thanks, Robert. I opened up a ticket.

Hi @Mike Kujawski  If you do get a “fix” it would be wonderful if you could let us know. As mentioned, I am hit by this behavior from time to time - thankfully it goes away in 1-2 days.  Would be nice to know if I can remove it from my general walking-around-paranoia-list 😀
