I have recently started working with the Miro app for Zoom. I want to say that IT IS AWESOME!

It has changed the interaction with my students (I do professional training sessions for companies) and has simplified my students’ screen: they don’t need to open two windows any more (Zoom + Miro separately) and instead they can have just one window. So MUCH easier.

I love that I can start sharing a Miro board in Zoom at the start of the session, and that Miro board remains available to students even as they move in and out of the breakout rooms. Just seamless integration. Beautiful.

My only concern: the UI in the Zoom app is not updated to the same UI used by standalone Miro in the browser. Can it be updated?

Another request: If I open a breakout room and go there, the app is no longer active. It’s available, and I can reactivate it.

Is it possible to keep it active? If it was open in the main room, I’d like to jump in a breakout room and still have it open there. Maybe it could be a breakout room setting that I can enable/disable.

One of the biggest flaws I found in using the Miro app is losing the app when jumping into a breakout room.

Scenario:

Host shares the Miro app for everyone to collaborate on Miro in the main room

Host opens the breakout rooms for participants to continue the work in Miro, divided in small teams. When the participants go in a breakout room, they can continue to use the Miro board.

If the host jumps into a breakout room (for example, to observe the work, or to offer help), the participants lose access to the board. The Miro app is closed when the host moves to another room. And this is a problem because it stops everyone from collaborating on the Miro board.
