Thanks for the link. I had certain doubts though. 

For example: where should my cursor be when I click the return key ? I have downloaded MIRO, using it in Mac. Also, there isn’t any plus sign after the parent node. 

Please clarify.

Unfortunately I don’t have a Mac so can’t provide guidance on Mac-specific issues you might be encountering. 

What happens when you try to work with the mind map through a web browser (e.g. Firefox or Chrome) rather than the Miro desktop app?

In chrome, I have exactly the same thing. not different from the desktop app.
