Until the last update, whenever I hit the L - line shortcut I would just get a line formatted in exactly the same way as the last line used. Now every time I draw a line I have to remove the arrow head! It still remembers the line “style” as in straight/stepped etc, and the colour of the last line I drew, but having to make those extra changes every time to remove the arrow heads is very frustrating. I’m working on a large family tree.

Hi @Troy Mason

Thanks for reaching out to Miro Community!

Based on my replication, the format of the line previously used is applied to the next one when hitting the L key.

Could you please share the following:

  • What type of app you use? Is that Miro in the browser or Desktop app?
  • Have you heard similar issues from other users or collaborators?
  • Is this happening on other boards as well?

Looking forward to assisting you!

Hi Eca,

Thanks for looking at this for me. I’m working between the Desktop App, the web app as well as the mobile app. Yesterday when I posted this, I was using the Web app, today I decided to try the desktop app again and it was working fine for a few hours, but has now started doing the same thing with the lines again. There was a brief “Miro is Updating” dialogue box at the bottom for a second, and when it left, the line tool had reverted to straight with an arrow, and even after changing it, it continues to revert every time I draw a new line, which is constantly.

I just tested it again, and now it is keeping the line type, but still reverting to an arrow head.

Family tree is getting quite big (nearly 3000 entries so far) - don’t really want to have to change the line every time

Would be great if you could find the problem!

Thanks for your help
