Using Miro Planner with JIRA integration, some fields are available in the column field option, and some are not.  These are Implementation team (Text: Team1, Team 2, etc.) and Due date (which is a text field: i.e PI12Sprint1).

Both of these are custom Jira fields, however, other custom Jira fields DO show on the dropdown.

How/where do I check on Miro or Jira which fields will be included and which not?

Hi @Jaqyc  — thanks for raising this! When using Miro's Jira integration, not all custom fields will be available in the Planner or field mapping options. Here are a few clarifying points and next steps:

  • Confirm field visibility for the connected Jira account:

    • Are those fields available on the edit/view screens for the issue types used in your board?

  • Try testing with a supported field type to confirm behavior

If everything checks out and you're still seeing inconsistencies, feel free to share:

  • The exact field types of the ones that do vs. don't show

  • A screenshot of the field mapping screen in Miro

  • Whether the field is consistently missing across projects

Looking forward to your reply!

Thank you Eca :)

Yes we have confirmed visibility in view and edit screens as well as testing with a supported field.

I will give you an example of a field that shows and a field that does not show.  Both of these fields are custom fields and are set-up exactly the same in JIRA, but Miro displays one and does not display the other.

We have also checked all different story types, will share only story level examples, but this is across all story types.

So an example that DOES work across Jira and Miro that is not a date driven field, not a multi select and is a custom field:

Programme Increment

An example that DOES NOT work, that is not a date driven field, not a multi select and is a custom field that we want to use:

Due date

We have also duplicated the implementation team and due date fields on Jira in an attempt to have it synced across to Miro and work as a work around on Planner tool, but so far it is not successful.

Important! I understand this might not be as obvious to understand from the screenshots as I have taken away a lot of information.  As this is an open forum I am not comfortable to share the screenshots as they are.  I am happy to schedule a call to talk through this if it is an option :)

TL;DR: Want to use Due By and/or Implementation team in Planner widget, but can’t.

THANK YOU!
