I’m atm using Miro for free waiting for an upgrade to Miro Starter plan. Me and my collegue (that already uses Starter plan) experience that when we invite people to collaborate in our boards using the shared link they - without us doing anything - becomes members in our team and we get asked if we’re supposed to pay for them. Since I’m used to Mural where this never was an issue I’m confused about how I’m supposed to collaborate with guest editors in Miro. What am I doing wrong?

@Fanny Bergström Buller - In Miro, there are Members, Guests, and Visitors.

The Free Plan does not support “guest” or “visiting” editors – only team members can edit boards in a Free Plan. For example:

An addition note re the Starter Plan: It only supports Guest viewers or commenters, so with the Starter Plan, you would need to use the Visitor/”Anyone with the link” feature if you want someone from outside your team to edit one of your boards. The Business Plan supports guest editors.

Ok,

as the original author stated, she is moving to a Starter (paid) subscription.  She has identified a problem that still exists in the paid starter subscription where everyone that is sent a link is automatically seen as a member.  I want only visitors since they are not team members, but I continually do not see a “visitor” option through the share function.  Can you explain how to solve or correct this?

I can't go into great details as I'm headed out the door, but you want the "anyone with the link" option and then what the board link either using the Copy board link action or by copying it from a browser address bar:

And, yes, the wording does not align with the feature (nowhere does it say "visitors" in the UI).

Invited users being added as full team members

As for invited users being added as full team members, you are likely using the Team invite link.
