[INVESTIGATING] Expected behaviour for default view widgets

I have a default view widget on my board - if I browse to the board directly I see the default view and can go to the canvas, the widget is still there. However if I end up in another widget view (the url has moveToWidget=3458764664907209359&cot=14) the default view widget completely vanishes from the board. Is this expected? It seems very confusing, I’ve now recreated the default widget twice because of this behaviour.

@Mark Leci I will submit a support ticket for clarification if this is expected behaviour or a bug.

@Mark Leci

I have a default view widget on my board

Are you referring to a “format” widget (e.g., Doc, Table/Timeline/Kanban, Diagram, Slides, Prototype)?

the default view widget completely vanishes from the board

Is a widget/format disappearing or just the Back to default view action? Example:

@Robert Johnson it is a table yes. I think I’ve confirmed the issue. If I open the board from the base url, the default view shows, and I can go to the canvas. The back to default view option is still visible. However, if I open the board via a link to a specific widget (any widget) I don’t get the default view and the default view component is completely missing. There is also no back to default view button.
