I feel like I'm doing something really stupid, but I created a link from an object to another object, and when I click (or even double-click) on the link the object is selected instead of following the link.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

PS.: I recorded a small video demonstrating this but I'm having trouble attaching it to this post

@Daniel Serodio -

When you hover over the link icon does it give you the URL in a pop-up (see below) and does the cursor change to the normal “navigate to a link” type cursor?

No, the cursor is an arrow and no URL is shown

For visual reference for all readers, you have to click on the blue arrow:

Tip: Loom is a free, quite easy to use, and very easy to share a screen recording.

That's what I'm trying to do, but it seems like the arrow is "underneath" the object because when I click it the object is selected instead of activating the link.

@Daniel Serodio - I think the object/shape with the link is “behind” the layer it is on top of. Try to “bring it to the front”:

Bingo! Thanks a lot @Robert Johnson, I had a transparent shape in front of the object where I had created the link.
