Hi everyone,

I have uploaded a PowerPoint file on a Miro Board, however, the guests couldn’t download the file. After reading the article of editing the board content access (How to allow or restrict copying and exporting boards and content – Miro Help Center), I have tried to edit the permission to copy board content, but the option “Anyone with the board access” is not found.

May I know is there any method to let the guests to download the file directly from the board?

Many thanks,

Gary

@Group OMD - You were on the right track to review the How to allow or restrict copying and exporting boards and content – Miro Help Center documentation. In that document, there is blurb around Team Admins needing to allow for “Anyone with the board access”:

4. Under Who can copy board content select one of the options:

The steps for your Team Admin:

How to configure board and content copying permissions for your team

Who can do it: Team Admins, Company Admins

Team and Company Admins can define if users outside the team (board visitors and guests) can copy and export the team’s boards and content. If copying board content is not allowed for users outside the team, the option Anyone with the board access is removed from individual boards’ settings.

Admins can also set the default content copying permissions for newly created boards in the team.

  1. On your dashboard, click the team name and select Permissions
  2. Scroll down to Board content settings
  3. Under Copying board content select Only team members or Team members and users outside the team
  4. Under Default board copying, choose one of the options: Board owners only, Team members with editing rights, Team members, Anyone with the board access. This will automatically set permissions for every newly created board in the team. Note that the permissions can be changed on individual boards by its owners.

If your Team Admin is unwilling to enable this, you will need to resort to uploading the document elsewhere, e.g., Google Drive, and sharing a link to it on your Miro board. Note: Your participants could still run into issue downloading, e.g., their corporate network has restricted access to cloud file sharing services.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply! However, I cannot find the “Permissions” column in the settings.

Is there any other way to access to the “Permissions”?

Many thanks,

Gary
