Hi, I’m on a paid Miro plan and exporting the board to PDF isn’t working, and neither is exporting frames. Exporting to Image is working fine. Anyone else having issues?
Hi
I can only say this problem of non-exports to PDF happens to me - not often, maybe less than once a month - but when the issue rears its ugly head them I am out-of-commission for at least one full day, when the problem seems to rectify itself, by itself. When the problem occurs I’ve learn to do this: give up and wait a day.
In some cases I’ve had problems when I try to export huge boards during peaks of high user demand - by retrying during off-hours my problems were reduced but still present.
But . . . thankfully . . . when the problem is not present I can export even huge boards that push 100 MB in size as PDFs, and Miro has no issues.
This doesn’t help, but at least I wanted to chime in!
Cheers, Ken
PS. Just now I exported a larger board to a high quality PDF, output size was around 30 MB, whole export process took less than 10 seconds.
Thanks. The PDF export is still not working. It closes like it exported something, but it did not.
I have heard of several instances over the years where adblocking software was blocking the download.
I would suggest that try adjusting or disabling any adblock extensions, or maybe try the desktop app from either Miro’s site or if you are using Windows, the MS Store.
The issue lies with Export of a Frame as PDF. This doesn’t seem to ever work for me. I can export as an image but would really like the function provided to work.
For now, I will have to use Export a Frame as an Image, but is there something wrong with Miro regarding this export function or is it a compatibility issue with browsers? I can’t seem to get it to work on either Chrome or Edge.
Ok, so I think I have found the issue!
This could be the problem for all.
Ensure your browser allows popups from Miro!
If popups are blocked then the process does not finalise correctly and you cannot save the PDF.
I am having the same problem
Is is the exact same, as in, you select Export as PDF, get the initial prompt to select Small file size or Best quality, and when you try to export, nothing happens?
I am on Windows 11 and just tested from Chrome and Edge, trying both small and best quality against three frames and everything worked as expected. Are you perhaps using a managed version of Chrome or Edge, e.g., a corporate machine? They could have installed some background extensions that are blocking some downloads (or some other software at a lower level).

Nice!
Also did a test here - took LONGER than I wanted because my cursor would not leave drag-and-drop mode (that’s a separate issue) but worked fine for me.
Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your contributions to this thread!
It looks like the issue with exporting frames as PDFs has been addressed. As
If anyone is still experiencing problems, please double-check your browser’s settings and make sure that any ad blockers or popup blockers aren’t interfering with the export process. Also, trying the export in the Miro desktop app might help if you’re using a browser-based version.
If any new challenges arise, feel free to open a new thread, and we’ll be happy to assist further.
Thanks again for the collaboration!
Hi, does anyone have a problem with not seeing an option of exporting a table to CVS? When I try to do it, I can’t see such action on my action list. Help pls!
Hi
Sorry to hear you’re having issues. The CSV export option is only available on some browsers and not others. Perhaps you’re trying to export from a platform, such as mobile, where that option is not yet enabled. Here is a list of the options: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017572754-How-to-export-your-board
Hi
A few things to check:
User permissions:
- Are you the owner of the board or do you have the necessary permissions to export data?
- Check the board sharing settings to see if your user role allows exporting. Export details may be turned off by the board admin, or not yet enabled.
Object selection:
- Make sure you've selected objects that can be exported to CSV, like sticky notes or cards with text content.
- Try filtering your selection to only include exportable items.
Browser compatibility:
- Confirm that your browser supports exporting to CSV on Miro.
- Check if your browser is updated to the latest version.
How to export to CSV on Miro:
- Select the objects you want to export (like sticky notes or cards).
- Right-click on the selection and choose "Export to CSV"
If the problem persists:
- Clear cache and cookies: Try clearing your browser cache and cookies.
- Try a different browser: Test exporting on another browser to see if the issue is browser-specific.
