As I remember there was options for pasting excel
- as grid
- as table

right?

However, right now, the excel content is not recognized and miro app pastes the latest miro-table I had copied. I am able to paste the excel content to other applications, but not in miro.

I also tried the web versions in Chrome and Edge - in the web versions - same problem. However, I’m able to paste the content copied from Excel in other applications.

My goal is to paste it as Miro Grid on my board.

Hi @Marco Gouveia, thanks for reaching out!

I tested this on my end and I still see the prompt to paste as table, grid, or stickies when copying from Excel.

A few things you can try:

  • Make sure you’re on the latest Miro app or browser version. If you’re using the desktop app, try updating or reinstalling.

  • Check whether the issue happens with a small simple selection from Excel (e.g., a 2x2 grid). Sometimes large ranges can behave differently.

  • As a temporary workaround, you could paste into a Miro table or sticky notes manually, but it should normally detect Excel input.

  • Since this is happening across both desktop and web (Chrome/Edge), could you also confirm your OS version and whether this happens in all Excel files or just specific ones?

If everything’s set, could you please share a screenshot or short video showing what happens when you paste into Miro? That will help us better understand what’s going on and narrow down whether this is specific to your setup. This looks like unexpected behavior, so your details will help us investigate further.
